Agora Tutoring is an Edmonton-based startup, connects students with local tutors to provide the academic support they need, without charging high-commission fees.

Our Primary Objective:
Assess and optimize the platform’s UX before its mid-Q4 2024 launch.

Our design team approached this in two phases:

  1. Conduct a comprehensive UX Assessment on the Agora Tutoring website's user experience, from user registration to the overall site experience.

  2. Design and prototype actionable solutions within the scope of the company’s small engineering team and planned launch deadline.

My Role As both the Team Lead and a UX designer for this project, I had the added responsibility of spearheading communication, running weekly syncs and presenting for our design reviews with the company’s founder Dylan. Our team of designers worked on every aspect of the project from start to finish, including an initial assessment report, moderated usability tests and the development of low and high-fidelity prototypes, all informed by stakeholder feedback and user research.
